Brett Allen, PE Principal/ Project Manager of Contour Engineering

Brett Allen, P.E.

Principal + Founding Member

Brett Allen founded Contour Engineering LLC in 2006 with a simple goal: help clients turn challenging properties and ambitious ideas into successful projects. Since entering the Puget Sound land development industry in 1998, he has worked on everything from custom homes and commercial developments to public infrastructure and utility projects throughout Western Washington.

Drawing on experience in civil engineering, land planning, and geotechnical consulting, Brett brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to project development. He is known for helping clients navigate complex regulations, identify opportunities, and overcome obstacles that can stall projects. His ability to balance technical requirements with real-world business considerations has earned him the trust of developers, property owners, architects, and public agencies alike.

Today, Brett continues to lead Contour Engineering while remaining closely involved with clients and projects. He enjoys tackling difficult sites, finding creative solutions, and helping communities grow through thoughtful development and infrastructure improvements.

A lifelong problem-solver, Brett believes successful projects are built on strong relationships, clear communication, and practical solutions that work in the real world—not just on paper. Beyond his professional work, he is actively involved in his community through volunteer service with the Longbranch Improvement Club, helping support local initiatives and preserve the character and quality of life that make the Key Peninsula a unique place to live.

When he's not working with clients or mentoring his team, Brett enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, traveling with his family, and seeking out new adventures on the region's back roads, waterways, and trails. His appreciation for the landscapes and communities of the Northwest continues to shape both his personal interests and his approach to land development.
